Dear Mr. Fang, my name is Dallas Winspear, I am an associate of Mr. Osama Shawaf. He has enlisted my help to gather some information about your company and products.
On the 15th of this month, two men from Saudi Arabia will be coming to Gungzhou to talk with Mr Shawaf about setting up a glass factory in their country. Osama has asked me to gather as much information as I can before they arrive, and is wondering whether you yourself might have time to come to Guangzhou some time between the 15th and 20th of April for a personal meeting with them.
If you could assist me by answering as best you can the following questions, everyone would be very grateful. I am not yet sure what their production requirements are, so I know that some answers will be quite broad. If you could tell me the figures based on small, medium and large operations, covering all major manufacturing, I will surely have the correct information to give to them.
1.0 How many square meters are required for the factory floor.
1.1 How much of that space needs to be fully closed.
1.2 How much of that space needs to be covered.
1.3 How much of that space can be open air.
2.0 What raw materials are needed for glass production.
2.1 Are they readily available in Saudi Arabia.
2.2 Is there any hazardous bi product produced, are the any special government regulations regarding its disposal.
3.0 How much time is needed between signing an agreement with you, and having a fully operational factory in Saudi.
3.1 How much time is needed between setting up the factory, and the first product being ready for shipment.
3.2 Are there any special environmental or legal requirements for the site that the factory will be built on.
4.0 How many specialist technicians are required to get the factory up and running.
4.1 How many specialist technicians are required to run the factory.
4.2 How many specialist technicians are required for maintenance and repair.
4.3 How many specialist technicians will be provided by you and for how long.
4.4 Will training be provided to local Saudi workers.
4.5 Can 100% of repairs be conducted on site, or are there cases where "back to base" repairs will be required
If you could also give us a production flow chart, clearly stating every process from the gathering of raw materials, preparation of materials (grinding, washing, filtering etc.) down to production, finishing, packaging and storage, that would also be a great help.
